Ethical Gold for a Sustainable Future

CO2– Neutral Gold Mining (2025-2030)

At GoldTech, we are committed to redefining gold mining in Tanzania and Guinea by prioritizing sustainability. Starting January 2025, our operations will achieve carbon neutrality through innovative practices and partnerships.

How We Achieve Carbon Neutrality:

Renewable Energy Transition:

    • Partner with SolarAfrica and WindPower to equip all mining sites with solar panels and wind turbines by Q3 2025.
    • Goal: Offset 8,000 tons of CO2 annually by 2026 – equivalent to removing 1,700 cars from roads or to planting 400,000 trees.

Land Restoration Pledge:

    • Restore 150% of mined land in Tanzania’s Lupa Region and Guinea’s Siguiri Basin by 2028.
    • Initiative: Collaborate with Africa Reforestation Collective to plant drought-resistant native species.

Zero-Carbon Logistics:

    • Use electric vehicles for on-site transport (powered by solar energy).
    • Ship gold exclusively via Brinks and Malca Amit, utilizing their carbon-offset programs.

Certification Roadmap:

  • Target Carbon Trust Standard by 2026.
  • Join the UN Climate Neutral Now Initiative by 2027.
